Getting Started

How to Use LumiParser

A complete walkthrough of the LumiParser workflow — from creating your first parser to exporting clean data.

The basic workflow

LumiParser is designed around a simple loop: create a parser, upload documents, review results, export data. Most users repeat this loop for each document type they handle.

  1. Create a parser for a specific document type (e.g. supplier invoices).
  2. Configure which fields to extract in the Fields & Tables tab.
  3. Upload your documents — individually, in bulk, or via the API.
  4. Review extracted data in the Document Inbox and correct any errors.
  5. Export or sync the data to your downstream tools.

Multiple parsers

You can have as many parsers as you need. A common setup is one parser per document type — for example, a separate parser for invoices, receipts, and bank statements. Each parser has its own field schema, settings, and document inbox.

Uploading documents

Documents can be uploaded via the browser interface (drag-and-drop or file picker), by forwarding emails to your parser's unique email address, or programmatically via the REST API. Supported formats include PDF, PNG, JPG, TIFF, and Excel files.

Reviewing results

After processing, every document appears in the Document Inbox. Click a document to open the split view — original file on the left, extracted fields on the right. You can edit any value directly in the table. Changes are saved automatically.
