Introduction
Understanding LumiParser
Learn the core concepts and how LumiParser works.
What is LumiParser?
LumiParser is a document intelligence tool that reads your documents and pulls out specific information — like invoice numbers, vendor names, and line items — into organised formats. You can then export this data to spreadsheets or connected applications without writing any code.
Core concepts
Teams
Organizational units where you and your colleagues collaborate. Each team has its own parsers and documents.
Parsers
Configurations that define what type of document to process and which fields to extract. Create a parser once and reuse it across all similar documents.
Document Inbox
The workspace for uploading files, monitoring processing status, and reviewing extracted data alongside the source document.
Fields and Tables
Individual data points (fields) and repeating row structures (tables). Tables capture line items and similar repeating data.
Integrations
Ways to get documents in and data out: REST API, webhooks, Import via Email, Email Export and a live Google Sheets feed. Zapier is coming soon.
Post Processing
Automated steps for transforming, enriching, and validating extracted data after the AI has finished parsing. A Pro-plan feature.
Reviews & Approvals
Surfaces documents with low-confidence extracted fields so you can manually double-check them before relying on the data.
Credits
Usage-based consumption model where document processing uses credits from your plan allocation.
Who is it for?
LumiParser is designed for accounting firms, bookkeepers, and small business teams who need to extract data from large volumes of documents. No technical experience is required. If you can use email and spreadsheets, you can use LumiParser.
